Introduction

The key to managing persons with disabilities in an inclusive service environment is really the same as managing any staff effectively in any environment. People with disabilities, like any other participants, have valuable talents, skills, time, and enthusiasm to contribute to the betterment of their communities. Given inclusive environments and accommodations, those contributions will shine through.

The resources in this section will assist you in developing awareness, providing information, and developing skills in inclusive member supervision and management. Interactive exercises and small group discussions utilized in reporting out to the larger group keep all participants engaged. Conflict management, a subsection of this topic, can be integrated, or utilized as a separate training.
