Technical Requirements for NSIP Webconferences

News - January 2007

We have switched to a new webconference platform that works for both PCs and Macs. Update to follow.

Until December 2006, NSIP used the Centra 7.5 platform for webconferences. Centra 7.5 requires a PC computer running Windows 2000 or XP. We recommend using the Internet Explorer 6.0 or Firefox 1.5 web browsers.

How to Install and Use Centra 7.5

Step 1:

Install the Centra plug-in. To learn how, download these instructions (MS Word file).

Step 2:

Join the webconference. You may want to bookmark this page in your browser ahead of time. We recommend that you allow five minutes to adjust your volume levels.

Get Help

Email Alvaro Tobar for help with Centra. Include your name and phone number. He will call you to troubleshoot.

Webconferences, 8/05-1/06

Watching a webconference that took place between August 2005 and January 2006 requires that you install Centra 7.2, an earlier version of the software. Learn how to install Centra 7.2.
